The text presents the profoundly political dimension of the mission of Jesus of Nazareth, situated within a context of oppression under the Roman Empire and a religious system marked by exclusion. His proclamation of the Kingdom of God inaugurates a new way of living, founded on justice, mercy, and fraternity, subverting both imperial logic and religious legalism. The Kingdom is not an abstract reality, but a historical project that transforms relationships, structures, and mentalities, with the poor as its protagonists. While Rome ruled through force, Jesus reveals a power manifested in service, sharing, and compassion. His cross synthesizes the confrontation between the love of God and the violence of human powers, revealing the victory of hope. The politics of the Kingdom, embodied in the gestures and words of Jesus, proposes a form of citizenship grounded in care, inclusion, and commitment to the most vulnerable, inspiring the Church — especially through synodality, political charity, and the promotion of justice — to become a living sign of the universal fraternity willed by God.
